Two Months Later, Rosenstein Still Hasn’t Responded To Senate Chairman

More than two months after Sen. Ron Johnson sent a letter to DOJ seeking information on the Clinton e-mail investigation, the department still hasn’t responded to the lawmaker’s request.

It’s been more than two months since the chairman of a major Senate oversight committee sent a pointed request for information about the Hillary Clinton e-mail investigation to the Department of Justice (DOJ), but the agency still hasn’t responded to the lawmaker’s inquiry.

The March 1, 2018, letter from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked eight questions about DOJ’s handling of the Clinton e-mail investigation shortly before and after the 2016 presidential election.

  • Is Robert Mueller Going to Investigate George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson, Too?

Is Robert Mueller Going to Investigate George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson, Too?

Those who claim that President Donald Trump is guilty of obstructing justice because he fired James Comey or because he asked Comey if he could go easy on Michael Flynn are way off base. And so is Robert Mueller if he is actually conducting such an investigation.

What none of these critics seem to understand is that under our Constitution, the executive power of the federal government is fully vested in the president. That includes the responsibility to ensure that “the Laws be faithfully executed.”

In other words, the president is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, not the attorney general or any of the other lawyers who work inside the Department of Justice, including special counsels appointed under Department of Justice regulations.

Trump Hints At Legal Action Against Mueller’s Team: The ’13 Angry Democrats’

President Donald Trump suggested Monday that “13 angry Democrats” on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team could face legal action over alleged “conflicts of interest.”  This comes after the investigation has already run into numerous snags, including Mueller’s inability to produce any evidence.

“The 13 Angry Democrats in charge of the Russian Witch Hunt are starting to find out that there is a Court System in place that actually protects people from injustice…and just wait ’till the Courts get to see your unrevealed Conflicts of Interest!” Trump said.

  • Why Hasn’t John Kerry Been Arrested? He Has Leftist Privilege

Why Hasn’t John Kerry Been Arrested? He Has Leftist Privilege

Like Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State John Kerry apparently enjoys the immunity from prosecution that being a powerful Leftist brings you today.

The Boston Globe revealed Friday that Kerry is working hard to sabotage President Trump’s foreign policy regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran. Kerry reportedly “sat down at the United Nations with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving the pact limiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program.”

This was not, apparently, a one-off meeting between Kerry and the foreign minister of the regime that orders its citizens to chant “Death to America” in mosques every Friday: “It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging a deal they spent years negotiating during the Obama administration, according to a person briefed on the meetings.”

Further, the Globe reported that Kerry has not limited his shadow diplomacy to Zarif: “[Kerry] also met last month with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and he’s been on the phone with top European Union official Federica Mogherini … Kerry has also met with French President Emmanuel Macron in both Paris and New York, conversing over the details of sanctions and regional nuclear threats in both French and English.”

Today, Kerry’s spokesperson confirmed the meetings — but danced around admitting his behavior:

    Why?

Same Policies That Failed to Stop Florida Shooter Exist in School Districts Nationwide

Critics of President Donald Trump said his response to the Florida school shooting earlier this year was ill-conceived and a failure.

Yet a new startling revelation from school district officials in Broward County, Florida, shows the White House’s response was indeed appropriate—more than even the Trump administration knew.

On Feb. 14, Nikolas Cruz, a student with a long history of problems in and out of school, allegedly opened fire and claimed the lives of 17 students and adults at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Following the shooting, the Trump administration created a new school safety commission. One of the commission’s assignments is to consider the repeal of student discipline guidelines that the Obama administration issued in 2014.

  • Don’t replace Fannie and Freddie; End them. Period.

For every 100 mortgages being sold in the United States these days, at least 95 of them have government backing. We’re told America has a free-market economy? Not judging by the government’s involvement in housing, arguably the most important market there is. Most people can go years without needing health care. A healthy adult can go weeks without food. We cannot go one day without needing shelter.

The housing market was nearly ruined several years ago, and the government’s involvement is a big reason. A bill moving through the Senate would do away with the main government players—Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—but it might worsen the market manipulation problems Fannie and Freddie caused.… Read More...

  • Obama Has Assumed King-Like Powers

Is there anything we can do to stop Obama and his lust for power?

    Check it out:

A Law Professor at George Mason University is afraid that we are on the horizon of a crowning government. Professor and author, Francis Buckley, is ready to state that President Obama will be, “the most consequential American president since George Washington.”

  • Is it time for a permanent Obamacare watchdog?

Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) says Congress needs to create a full-time, permanent arm of the government that monitors Obamacare and submits detailed quarterly reports to Congress on how the massive healthcare law is being implemented.

Roberts proposed legislation to create a special inspector general that would monitor all aspects of the law, including whether it’s leading to more expensive health insurance, whether insurance subsidies are being calculated correctly, how jobs are being affected, and the functionality of the Obamacare website.

Roberts said an inspector general is needed because so far, the Obama administration has failed to keep Congress informed about how the law is working and how it’s changing health coverage for millions of people.

  • Obama Is Bypassing Congress Again. This Time It’s Going to Cost You.

Next week, the Obama administration is planning to unveil a climate action plan that it intends to implement without legislative approval. It’s a creative approach to governing, not unlike other executive actions President Obama has taken to bypass Congress.

When lawmakers refused to pass cap-and-trade legislation, Obama announced there was more than one way to skin the cat. Through climate plans, executive orders and regulatory action, he directed his agencies to find ways to curb the country’s carbon dioxide output and commit to reducing greenhouse-gas emissions.

Leading the charge, unsurprisingly, is the Environmental Protection Agency, which will release its carbon-dioxide regulations for existing power plants on Monday.… Read More...

  • Donald Trump: Obama Refused $50 Million to Charity for Obama’s Records

What’s he hiding? Many will remember Donald Trump’s 5 million dollar offer to Barack Obama in 2012. The offer was for Trump to pay 5 million dollars to Barack Obama’s favorite charity in exchange for a look at his college records. Five million dollars could certainly help a lot of people. It is nothing to sneeze at. At the time I remember thinking that this was just more evidence that Barack Obama had something to hide from his college days.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump revealed at The National Press Club that he actually raised the offer to $50 million in an attempt to get a response, and still none came.… Read More...

  • Edward Snowden Revealed What the NSA Can Do With Your Phone… Even if It’s Turned Off

In a wide-ranging interview on NBC News with Brian Williams, Former National Security Agency contractor-turned-fugitive Edward Snowden says the U.S. Government has the capability to remotely turn on a targeted cellphone. Then, allegedly that same cell phone could be secretly activated to broadcast from the device’s camera and microphone.

Snowden, who worked as a systems analyst on behalf of the the NSA, downloaded intelligence documents and leaked them to journalists. The documents revealed, among other things, that the U.S. Government was collecting bulk phone and email data on American citizens. Snowden maintains he took action because he felt the American people had the right to know about the surveillance programs.… Read More...

  • America is not a Dumping Ground

Today, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will testify before the House Judiciary Committee on issues related to immigration and border security. There is probably no department through which Obama has pushed his lawlessness more than Homeland Security, as he has completed shredded our immigration laws and erased our borders.

Republican members of the Judiciary Committee should make this hearing the beginning of a sustained effort to shame and embarrass the administration into enforcing the laws, preserving our sovereignty, and protecting our national security. As we head into the appropriations season, they must use the power of the purse as a weapon to batter these law-breakers into submission.… Read More...

  • VA Supporters Should Stop Citing Dubious VA Wait Time Data

It wouldn’t make much sense to cite Enron’s annual reports after word broke that the books were being cooked. Similarly, it doesn’t make much sense to cite VA wait times when the veracity of that data is (and has been) highly suspect.

A few days ago, Timothy Noah writing for MSNBC argued that, despite the ongoing VA scandal, VA wait times aren’t much worse than those in the private sector:

News stories about the Phoenix VA and some other bad actors indicate the wait can be many months, but an internal VA estimate—one based on “hard” time stamps and therefore less vulnerable to manipulation than the records allegedly falsified — puts the average wait at about 21 days.… Read More...

  • CA Congressman Dana Rohrabacher: Why Doesn’t Obama have a Valid Social Security Number and Valid IDs?

Attorney Orly Taitz has been advancing the issue of Barack Obama’s fraudulent documents, including his birth certificate, selective service form and his use of a bogus Social Security number for several years now. She has also thrown her hat into the ring in the primaries for California Attorney General. On Monday, Taitz said that she had three United States Congressmen, including her own Representative, along with voters who specifically asked questions about Obama’s bogus IDs. In that meeting, it was Taitz’s own Congressman, according to her, who asked the valid question, “Why doesn’t Obama have a valid Social Security number and valid IDs?”

According to Taitz’s website, Congressmen Dana Rohrabacher “invited Taitz to attend a meeting of activists and patriots, which was held at his home in Costa Mesa, CA.”

At the meeting, she also addressed Texas Congressman Ted Poe and asked him when Congress would address the issue of Obama’s fraudulent and fabricated IDs and stolen Social Security number.… Read More...

  • Obama: Accountability for Thee but Not for Me

When it comes to business and the private sector, President Obama and top Democrats are all about accountability.

Banks: “When we learn that a major bank has serious problems, we will hold accountable those responsible,” President Obama says.

Oil companies: “The person who makes the mistake ought to be responsible,” according to Florida senator Ben Nelson.

Auto makers: “Manufacturers [are] on notice that they will be held accountable if they fail to quickly report and address safety-related defects,” said transportation secretary Anthony Foxx.

“President Obama loves to hold the private sector accountable. Government? Not So much.”

Food processors: “Anyone who knowingly and willingly put American families at risk should be held responsible to the fullest extent of the law,” declared Representative Rosa DeLauro, after a series of beef recalls.
