• The Enlightenment Is Not The Enemy

The Enlightenment Is Not The Enemy

Jonah Goldberg has a new book out defending the “liberal”—i.e., pro-freedom—legacy of the Enlightenment, the philosophical awakening of the eighteenth century. Such a defense is certainly needed in light of the Enlightenment’s wholesale rejection by today’s mainstream intellectuals.

Yet this has required many others on the Right to come to terms with their views of the Enlightenment, and it’s not going well. Many conservatives are dismissing the Enlightenment and trying to hand over its legacy to the anti-Enlightenment intellectuals on the Left. READ MORE...

  • No, The U.S. Is Not Too Big To Be Governed As James Madison Proposed

No, The U.S. Is Not Too Big To Be Governed As James Madison Proposed

James Madison is credited with debunking a prevailing suspicion that self-government was only possible on a smaller, state level.

The question of whether a vast, continental republic like ours can be successfully self-governed is as old as the American experiment itself. Sociology professor Neil Gross is the latest to answer the question in a recent New York Times op-ed — and his answer is a resounding no. He finds himself in agreement with the Ancient Greeks and Montesquieu, who believed self-government is possible only in small, homogenous polities, and in disagreement with America’s original political theorist, James Madison. NYC Subway Will Run Provocative Sex Toy Ad, But Not Pro-Freedom Ads

Despite having won numerous legal free speech battles against the NYC MTA to run our pro-Israel, anti-jihad ads in New York’s transit system, the NYC MTA several years ago prohibited all of our ads under the guise of a political/issue-related advertising ban.

But they are running this — ads from a women’s sex toy company.

Even worse, in November 2015 a judge ruled that ads by a Muslim group declaring “The Muslims Are Coming”had to run. When a judge ruled that our ads had to run, the NYC MTA issued a ban that appears increasingly to only apply to AFDI. The Muslim supremacist ad and now this sex toy can run. But not our pro-freedom ads. READ MORE...

Communist US Senator Chris Murphy: “I Support The Real 2nd Amendment, Not The Imaginary 2nd Amendment”

Communist US Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) is well known as an anti-Constitutionalist and anti-Second Amendment senator.  He has whined about not attacking the Second Amendment more vociferously than he has while attempting to provide emotional arguments about government not protecting his kids, something that is his job and his job alone to do.  Now, he gun confiscating senator from Connecticut is claiming that he supports the “real Second Amendment,” not an “imaginary” one. • Senators Need to Stop Asking Judicial Nominees Their Personal Views

Senators Need to Stop Asking Judicial Nominees Their Personal Views

On Thursday, in the Senate Judiciary Committee’s business meeting, Chairman Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, addressed efforts to force judicial nominees to express personal views on issues or cases in their confirmation hearings.

Senators routinely press nominees, for example, to say whether particular Supreme Court precedents, such as Brown v. Board of Education or Roe v. Wade, were correctly decided. Nominees, however, consistently decline to do so, emphasizing instead that they will apply all relevant precedents, whether or not they personally agree with those precedents. READ MORE...

  • The Psychopolitical Agenda Drives On

    The Psychopolitical Agenda Drives On

By psychopolitics our chief goals are effectively carried forward. To produce a maximum of chaos in the culture of the enemy is our first most important step. Our fruits are grown in chaos, distrust, economic depression and scientific turmoil. At last a weary populace can seek peace only in our offered Communist State, at last only Communism can resolve the problems of the masses.(Leventia Beria)

I’m sure across the nation many writers, liberal and conservative alike, stare dumbfounded at an empty screen searching for a way to write about another school shooting. That’s right, another school shooting. In this instance, the weapon used wasn’t a high powered super-duper one thousand round magazine AR-15 with an assault rocket launcher attachment, it was a sawed-off shotgun and a .38 revolver. Neither of which, by the way, have a high ammunition capacity. The revolver holds five rounds and the shotgun probably has an eight plus one capacity meaning it can hold eight shells in the tube with one in the chamber. The shooter also planted pressure cookers and pipe bombs around the school meaning that people could have easily been killed even if there were no scary guns involved. If people want to kill, they will find a way. READ MORE...
